sjaeger172004
Hi all People must be getting sick and tired of me (sorry, my autism and trying to get all the info I can, as well as no professional support regarding Diaper information, as most professionals in Australia, have no idea other than the standard crappy cheap cloth-backed medical) even less knowledgable on plastic-backed as 98% of diapers here are cloth backed. I am trying to find a good, not so much noticeable day diaper. Needs 4 Tape (I prefer hook and loop/velcro): I never used tapes and was forced to use cloth. I Backed from (2009 to 2023) until I found a supplier of Bambino, which will no longer be distributed here. 5000ml+ (I try to change 4-5 hours). I am not sure how hygienic it is. I will ask the urology nurse on Monday. Plastic Backed Nice to have Wetness indicator to know when I am close to capacity (as I have no feeling of bladder as well as everything is compressed with plastic pants and snapped onesie) Please reply below with which brands may apply to me based on their experiences. Tykable Lil Builders (not sure how noticeable under clothes they are) Rearz Mega Barnyard (11000ml sounds like a night diaper and too thick) ABU Dinorawz (Stock issues I am reading in forums as well as communication issues regarding invoicing) BeDry Incontrol EliteCare (10000ml sounds like a night diaper and too thick) Am I missing any? Thanks
Slomo
My experience has been that every cloth like disposable diaper will leak well before an all plastic disposable of the same design. And I can guarantee a thick diaper that has done its job, is much less noticable than a thin one or a cloth like diaper which has leaked. Others will probably say this too, but we are much more aware of our diapers than those around us. That "obvious" bulge is easily hidden by wearing black, and even more hidden by wearing one pant size larger than you normally would. Even that really loud crinkle we hear isn't as loud as we think. I really encourage you to keep seeking an all plastic diaper. Though I also recommend adding a diaper cover over which ever diaper you go with, regardless of plastic or cloth like. The PUL type being the best for discretion and for longevity, as they will help you to detect any diaper leaks before they leak past the diaper cover. And with the PUL having an outer nylon cloth cover they will nearly eliminate that diaper crinkle noise too.

Thank you I currently wear Bambino ultra stretch or the designed version with plastic pants and snapped onesie over them. thankfully my urologist has written me a supportive letter stating the need of plastic diapers due to medical allergies hence medically can’t use cloth backed which the government has accepted (not sure if the registered nurse who is doing product list has accepted it though) their only distributor in Australia will be discontinuing all bambino products so have to find a better quality/capacity now as urology has told me to just use them to the diaper capacity or when I have skin irritation with good barrier crème as well as a cranberry supplement against any slight possibility of UTI due to open foley. Slomo
Oh yeah. Unfortunately I've had more than my share of medical professionals who were dead set against any adult using diapers for any reason, no matter the detrimental reprocussions. If you can, insist on working with some else who won't let their misdirected, out dated, personal feelings dictate the professional work. If you have no choice but to work with them, stand your ground and pitty them for their limited view of the world around them. And seconded. Cranberry is a super food that's clinically proven to fight UTI's and help maintain a health urinary tract.

I think she was scared to upset the government as her report states I have issues with plastic backed as well as lack of knowledge on plastic-backed options but the email stated she had a duty of care to me and to the government
