AFAIK, these diapers are no longer available in North America; but I was fortunate enough to come across 2 cases (2x112 diapers) yesterday.

Don't be fooled by this Diaper's non-traditional design (similar to Tena Flex, but *better*) or lack of bulk/trim fit. It's *very* absorbent & very comfortable (though it does get quite bulky as it absorbs); and so far, no leaks [during the night] (knock on wood).

As a chronic bed-wetter, I sincerely recommend these diapers --even if you move around a lot in your sleep like I do: just wear plastic pants over top & you'll be fine! (It's not a good/reliable diaper for folks with fecal incontinence, simply because of its open-side design).

It's been almost 7 weeks since I posted this review; and I still have not had any leaks at night with this "diaper".

Yeah the Euro Attends are pretty good and plastic backed. Shame they can't make their N. American products the same way :(

I was lucky I found these when I did (considering they've been off the Canadian market for about 2 years). All of the bags have a German/English pamphlet inside, as if they were meant to be sold individually rather than by the case.
And yes, it's a crying shame what has become of the North American "Attends" products. They were the first non-infant diaper I wore as a child (from age 10 onward) until I was probably 25 (I switched to Tena for about six years -- until I discovered the Attends 10 Super Plus diaper; at which point I switched back to Attends).

Anyways, it has been my experience that manufacturers are more concerned about profit(s) than they are with quality.

The original Attends Slip 10 where what I bought from Quality Life Cares for years and then they where gone. Where did you buy them from (being from Toronto my self) I am really interested in buying more of them.

I used to buy the Super Plus 10 from Medical Mart (there were only $112/case, shipping incl -- Julie charged me $160-something/case...). Anyway, I found two cases of the Slip 10 at Diapers N' Kids Wear, but I bought everything they had (in medium). I've been using them at night (as well as during the day) since I bought them, and haven't had *any* problems/leaks. I'm fairly certain they are more absorbent than the Super Plus 10 was.

If you're interested in a bag or two, Nia, let me know.

Why have they stopped selling them here then?

I'm not sure why they took the entire Super Plus / Slip 10 off the North American market. I think it might have something to do with PaperPak N.A. & PaperPak EUR not being the same company -- but I can only speculate. As well, these diapers were never available on the U.S. market because of patents, etc. It was very hard (like pulling teeth) to get answers out of the American PaperPak customer service folks. Anytime I mentioned the Super Plus, they had no idea what product I was referring to.

I would be interested in trying them myself, would you be interested in sending me a few to try? If so please let me know...

My theroy is that if they sell a super absorbant diaper that you may only need to change 3-4 times in a day then the company would be losing money, they would rather sell you a cheaper thinner diaper that would require you to change 6-8 times a days, the more diapers you use the more money they make. Especialy if you have to double diaper.

I guess you have a point; and I guess times (er, goals) have changed for manufacturers, because it wasn't like this when I was a kid -- the [Attends] diapers I wore [to bed] were always absorbent enough for my needs (as well as reasonably/economically priced). Back in '07, I started the transition to cloth simply because the lack of reliability (i.e. quality, consistency) from manufacturers is more than I care to deal with. And it's a shame too, because we don't deserve this type of exploitation.

If send me an SASE w sufficient postage ($10 is safe -- I know $7 is not enough from past experiences), I'll send you a couple (medium) to try...but try not to like them too much, because they're totally off the market... and nigh (if not completely) impossible to find. :(

You can still order Attends Slip 10 adult diapers from Europe, but they are pricey and the shipping is more than the cost of the product in many cases.

If anyone in Canada (preferably in the GTA) is interested, I am selling 5 unopened bags (28 diapers/bag) of the Attends Slip 10 (want to get rid of them before we move into our new house at the end of Feb). I am asking $25/bag (paid $28). There's nothing wrong with these diapers (personally, I find they're extremely absorbent and exceptionally comfortable); I'm just switching to cloth [permanently] once we move.

If you don't have a vehicle, but don't mind paying for gas, I'll drop them off anywhere in the GTA (including Hamilton/Burlington).

Those are great diapers. Unfortunately I'm in Washington state, so I think the delivery charge would be cost prohibitive.

totally. mailing them is not an option even within Canada (hence offering to deliver them).

I've been to WA -- it's a bit of a trek from Toronto (but Spokane is def one of the most beautiful continental US cities I've been to).
